About...

Mike Price

Mike Price is 36 years old and has finally succumbed to the golfing bug. This blog hopes to show how anyone can take up golf and enjoy the benefits it will bring to your life. He will be helped by his father Mike Price who has been playing for over 35 years. His aim was not to embarrass himself when he played his first round of golf. Mike has now played his first game of golf and has a new goal of improving his putting and getting below 90 on the score card.

I have a game coming up

Posted by Mike Price on June 28, 2007 10:56 AM |

I will be making my debut on Kirkby golf course on the 9th July 2007 at 6.30am in the morning. Thankfully I am usually well up by this time as I start work early so I am looking forward to it. This is my Dads' usual course and the last time I was here I was caddying for him when I was about 14 so it must be nearly 22 years ago. I am starting to feel confident in my swings but I must try and get back to the driving range to whack a few balls.
I should be playing off the top handicap for useless people like me which is 28, this will give me 16 shots on dad so I might win him. I doubt it though. I might start a sweep on how many balls I lose. Send your guesses to me through the comments.

Kirkby is a Par 72 course and is not too difficult for a beginner. You should be looking to come in at about 100 or less to have a good game, Hope you can bveat your dad.

Enjoy it and don't worry about people behind you, they can wait.
