About...

Mike Price

Mike Price is 36 years old and has finally succumbed to the golfing bug. This blog hopes to show how anyone can take up golf and enjoy the benefits it will bring to your life. He will be helped by his father Mike Price who has been playing for over 35 years. His aim was not to embarrass himself when he played his first round of golf. Mike has now played his first game of golf and has a new goal of improving his putting and getting below 90 on the score card.

Crazy golf and Haigh Hall

Posted by Mike Price on July 31, 2007 8:23 AM |

I went to Haigh hall this weekend with the family. It was a slightly double edged suggestion by myself as I wanted to check out the golf course and get some information. Thankfully it was a nice day so Jennie and the girls came along and we had a great day out. We even managed to play a round of crazy golf. Asha is very competitive and Francesca played 'properly' for the first time.

Asha plays crazy golf, she is getting interested in the real game

Jennie who is a master at crazy golf and who has said I am rubbish was left eating her words as my new found prowess in putting and golf helped me to win her for the first time ever.

Not one to brag, though. I thought I would add it to the blog.

If you get a chance to play Haigh hall, then do so. It really is a good course to play. There are plenty of chances to par holes and get your score low, but just be careful and don't overreach yourself on the long pars. If in doubt play safe, better to take three to the hole on a par 5 than screw up and take four or five.

Cheers

Thanks John, I am going to play at Haigh Hall on Wednesday 1st August 2007 with a work colleague called Tony Hall. We are both very poor players and it will probably be midnight by the time we finish, god help anyone behind us. Thanks for the advice and I will try and reel in some of my enthusiasm.

cheers

Mike
