About...

Mike Price

Mike Price is 36 years old and has finally succumbed to the golfing bug. This blog hopes to show how anyone can take up golf and enjoy the benefits it will bring to your life. He will be helped by his father Mike Price who has been playing for over 35 years. His aim was not to embarrass himself when he played his first round of golf. Mike has now played his first game of golf and has a new goal of improving his putting and getting below 90 on the score card.

Played two more games

Managed my first tee to the green shot on the 16th hole at Kirkby and also managed my first birdie. I feel I am now getting the hang of this but wouldn't feel happy about playing in a competition yet, I think I need to start getting my handicap down.

It has recently been my birthday and I received some cracking presents. One was a practice driving net, which I have put up in the garden. I haven't actually blasted a ball at it yet as I am worried it might miss. Another present was a training club. It has a weigh on the end and also moulded grips to make getting your grip and swing better.

These and occassionally getting to play should stop me getting rusty during the winter months. I have also recently been talking to Jason McAteer another new comer to golf and we are hoping to have a bit of fun and get a round of golf together soon. As we are both playing off 28 I think with his sporting background he should have the edge.

Cheers for reading and any tips drop a comment.

Mike
